This large statement necklace was originally purchased from Fred Leighton NYC, the high-end jewelry boutique on Madison Avenue. A favourite of celebrities and socialites, the brand carries one of a kind vintage & estate jewelry from multiple eras, plus a signature collection. This Fred Leighton custom made necklace features two antique Chinese carved amber foo dogs set in 22k gold with traditional Chinese cloud motif. There are six strands of antique Northern Indian 22k gold beads spaced with small round amber beads. These antique gold beads are formed using an old traditional Rajasthani technique of hand-hammering gold leaf over a wax / resin bead base. Shortest strand measures 18” and longest strand 24”. Largest amber station measures 2.5 x 2”. Hallmarked on reverse clasp and amber setting. Excellent pre-owned condition.
